Unveiling the Wizards' Shroud is the tale of Owen, a boy who is the likely heir to his father's throne.  But Owen has no desire to become king and dreads the moment when, on his fifteenth birthday,  King Kendrick will most likely announce that he is to be his father's successor.  But when the king becomes ill, Owen's only hope is to turn to Cedric, the wizard who may have been responsible for his mother's death.

Author, Eric Price has crafted a gripping story, full of imagery, that draws the reader into Owen's quest which takes place in a fanciful world of magic and mystery.

Unveiling the Wizards' Shroud is an enjoyable read that would make a great movie for teens.  This book has earned the Literary Classics Seal of Approval.

Once Upon A Road Trip earns the Literary Classics Seal of Approval

Angela Blount has created an inspiring and enlightening coming-of-age book through the memoirs of her eighteen year old self.  Angeli is a bright girl, but she doesn't know where her life is heading.  Feeling overwhelmed by the sense that she should have a plan for her future, she decides to take a two month long solo road trip in a quest for self-discovery.  Somehow she hopes that along the way she will come to some sort of realization as to the direction she should take in life.  Her plan is to drive to various places throughout the U.S. and Canada where she will stay with a number of the people whom she has befriended through an internet chat-room.  Along the way she encounters obstacles, heartache and betrayal.

Once Upon A Road Trip is an engaging read with lots of interesting developments that keep the reader hinged to see what will happen next.  Blount tactfully addresses a multitude of subjects that young people often tend to encounter.  Young Angie has a beautiful soul and a strong faith which helps guide her through some challenging situations.  The undercurrent of her faith is a big part of what makes this book unique.  Angie's weaknesses and insecurities are no match for her faith which seems to keep her grounded.  Blount has done a terrific job of exposing Angie's vulnerabilities all the while highlighting her journey towards a deeper understanding of herself and the people in her life.  As the story progresses she slowly sheds some of her youthful naiveté and learns who she can and cannot trust --and ultimately lets go of her insecurities and allows herself to love and to be loved.

Karmack, by J.C. Whyte, earns the Literary Classics Seal of Approval

Sully is the "Big Cheese" of the 5th grade and the greatest bully of his trio of elementary school thugs.  But he and his hoodlum buddies have finally tipped the karmic scale and Sully comes face to face with karma incarnate when Karmack, a whimsical and lovable little character, appears on the scene to set things straight.  Now whenever Sully or his cohorts bully it comes back to them in full karmic force.  When Karmack reveals that doom awaits Sully and his friends if they do not stop bullying, things begin to take an interesting turn at Higgins Elementary School. 

Karmack is a captivating pre-teen fantasy and author J.C. Whyte has created a strong cast of characters that are well developed and quite likable.  As the story progresses, the suspense builds to a delightful outcome that is sure to keep readers anticipating Whyte's next round of literary treasures.  We look forward to seeing more from this author.

Glimpse, by Steven Whibley, earns the Literary Classics Seal of Approval

Glimpse, by Steven Whibley is a rare gem of a book.  From the first page, the reader is drawn into the world of Dean Curse, a young man who, inexplicably, begins to have horrific visions.  Whibley has created a cast of characters that are both genuine and likable, and he has woven a tale that keeps the reader engaged right up to the cliff-hanger of an ending which taunts the reader with what will surely be a riveting continuation to the Dean Curse Chronicles.

Steven Whibley has made quite a first impression with this, his debut novel.  We look forward to reading more of his work and following the progression of this budding author's writing career.

The Wicked Passage Earns the Literary Classics Seal of Approval

We wish to recognize the literary talents of author, N.M. Singel, as we honor her book The Wicked Passage, with the Literary Classics Seal of Approval.

13 year old Blake Wyatt is an ordinary teenager with a fairly ordinary life.  He doesn't much care for history class and he's seriously considering quitting the football team. 

When Blake discovers he is the youngest descendant of the Sapphire Travelers, those with the ability to travel through time, things start spiraling out of control.   He quickly learns that his world is much bigger than he once thought it to be.   Ultimately he learns to take responsibility for his actions as he gains a greater appreciation for the things he once took for granted. 

Wicked Passage intertwines the classic story of good verses evil along with a dose of history, plus the excitement of time travel thrown in for good measure.  This is a tale which will intrigue young readers while promoting good values and an appreciation for historical events.

Bella and Harry, Let's Visit Athens earns our Seal of Approval

Be prepared to get a new stamp in your passport, because Bella and Harry are taking us on another fabulous travel adventure around the world.  This time, our lovable Chihuahua friends invite us to tag along as they experience the sights and flavors of Greece.  Pack your bags, because these pet Chihuahuas, who have the great privilege of traveling the world with their owners, are taking us on a tour of the ancient city of Athens . . . with a quick jaunt to the island of Crete. 

We are becoming only slightly jealous of these two world traveling Chihuahuas.  But all that aside, if we can't be there in person, we're confidant there's no better way to experience the world than through the eyes of these endearing pets.

The Bella and Harry Series is a terrific introduction to travel for youngsters.  Each book is terrific as a stand-alone, and as a set, they are magnificent.  Illustrations by Kristine Lucco, add further insight and dimension to these books which are educational and entertaining.

Runaway Twins Earns Our Seal of Approval

Runaway Twins is the story of two young girls who are slated to be married to a cult member on their thirteenth birthday.  Determined not to meet the fate of their older sister, they vow to escape from the polygamous community where they have been raised.  Author Pete Palamountain has done an exceptional job of crafting a story that will draw readers in to this powerful drama. The plot is solid, the setting believable and the characters genuine.
