The Book of Chaos, by Jessica Renwick, earns the Literary Classics Seal of Approval

Fable Nuthatch is no ordinary girl.  Orphaned at a very young age, she lives with her Aunt Moira and cousin, Timothy.  She has the ability to perform magic, but her aunt forbids her to practice the art.  One day Fable discovers a book which has been tucked away on a shelf for years.  The pages inside are blank, but the book seems to hold some sort of magical powers.   It doesn't take long for Fable and her cousin to learn the book holds some sort of darkness.  But when they try to make things right, Fable is swept away into an alternate world unlike any she has ever known.  And to make matters worse, Timothy has disappeared!

Author Jessica Renwick has crafted a highly engaging tale about the love of family and the true bonds of friendship.  This enchanting tale offers a thrilling adventure for young readers who are sure to be entertained by this first book in the Starfell Series

Odie the Stray Kitten Earns the Literary Classics Seal of Approval

Odie the Stray Kitten is the endearing tale of a little orange kitten which loses its family out in the forest.  Odie is cold and scared until he happens upon a barn.  Sneaking inside to get out of the cold, he soon encounters a girl who takes him in and gives him a home.

Author Kristen Mott, has crafted a tale that speaks volumes to children about loss and the fears that arise when one feels all alone.  Both author and illustrator have skillfully depicted this tale which addresses Odie's plight with a sense of calming serenity.

Wonderful illustrations by Lowell Hildebrandt, are perfectly paired with this book which is a true gem of a read.  We highly recommend Odie the Stray Kitten for classrooms, school and home libraries, and in counseling settings for children dealing with loss.

This book has earned the Literary Classics Seal of Approval.

Bella Saves the Beach by Nancy Stewart earns the Literary Classics Seal of Approval

Bella and Britt, best friends, share a love for the beach where they enjoy  splashing in the surf and building sand castles.  But when they begin to notice trash on their favorite beach they become concerned; not only for the pristine beauty of the beach, but for the well-being of the wildlife with whom they share the beach.  The girls agree something must be done, but since Britt is leaving for vacation, that leaves Bella to take on the task by herself.  But that doesn't stop her.  Armed with the determination to save their beach, she succeeds in raising awareness while helping to restore the beach to a clean and safe place that can be enjoyed by people and animals.

Bella Saves the Beach, by Nancy Stewart, teaches kids to care for their environment while arming them with a can-do attitude.  This book comes highly recommended and earns the Literary Classics Seal of Approval.
